Filtrete Clean Living MPR 300 Basic Dust AC Furnace Air Filter Review
I have been using filters by Filtrete for 5+ years, I have tried the MPR 600 version, which is a lot more expensive, and recently tried the MPR 300 version because it was much cheaper.
You might be asking, what does MPR stand for? Well it stands for Microparticle Performance Ratings, or MPR for short. The higher the MERV rating, the higher the effectiveness of the air filter. MPR is a filter rating system developed by 3M to rate a filters ability to cature the smallest airborne particles.
Overall, they seem to work the same, in my house. Both have lasted for the 3 months that they say, my Honeywell Thermostat tells me when I need to change the filter. Even after I remove them after 3 months, the filters are fairly dirty, so I know they are doing their job removing anything that comes in through the air ducts.
For me, I have really bad seasonal allergies and the cheaper ones work for me and my family. Highly recommend.
They also have the following versions, that are more expensive per filter as you go up in MPR value. Just note that some come in packs of 6 and some in packs a 2, and so on:
The links to the products are to the size that I use for my air ducts, make sure to purchase the correct size for yours. There are various sizes available for the filters if you click the links.
